The Department of Radiology at Duke Health seeks applicants for Division Chief of Cardiothoracic Imaging to lead and coordinate clinical, educational, and research activities.

The Cardiothoracic Imaging Division operates an established and growing clinical practice covering adult pulmonary and cardiovascular services including radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR) imaging. In addition, the Division provides a comprehensive thoracic intervention service performing imaged-guided biopsies, drainages, and pulmonary ablations.

The Cardiothoracic Division is recognized for providing high quality, expert care and is closely integrated with Pulmonary Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, Medical Oncology, Cardiology, and Vascular Surgery through multidisciplinary conferences and collaborative clinical and research initiatives. In addition, the Division is productively engaged in diverse educational activities throughout the health system, including mentorship, supervision and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.

The Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging is nationally recognized for clinical, educational, and research excellence and consists of 10 engaged faculty and 4 cardiothoracic imaging fellows, in addition to a monthly allocation of 4-5 residents.

The Department of Radiology has a substantial research infrastructure that includes biostatistical and administration support, a clinical research MR and CT/PET scanner, small animal imaging technology, an Artificial Intelligence Core, and a close collaboration with departmental PhD scientists as well as researchers across Duke.

Qualified candidates will be ABR-certified and currently an Associate or Full Professor with fellowship training in pulmonary, cardiovascular, or cardiothoracic imaging. Ideal applicants have a minimum of 7 years of clinical experience, research credentials, and demonstrated leadership skills. Rank and academic track at Duke will be commensurate with experience and credentials.
