Associate or Full Professor, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology

Applications are invited for the position Associate or Full Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Department of Medicine. The position is supported by an Endowed Chair and provides an opportunity for a senior leadership position in basic and translational research in the division. We are searching for outstanding individuals with creative, rigorous, and integrative research approaches to elucidate key pathophysiological processes that involve the Digestive Tract. Suitable candidates must have an MD or PhD degree, rank of Associate or full Professor; have exceptional promise, and a proven record of research achievement and mentoring. We are searching for an individual who has a strong individual investigator-initiated research program and can integrate the growing body of information on genetic, molecular, and cellular processes into functionally relevant contexts that translate into important medical advances. The individual will be expected to participate and lead junior faculty mentoring programs in the Division and School of Medicine. The position includes a generous start up program, a fully endowed chair and appropriate laboratory space.
