Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Director Opportunity
The Saint Thomas Heart Group in Nashville, Tennessee is seeking a talented and experienced cardiologist to join our nationally recognized program and develop and lead our proposed cardiovascular disease fellowship program. The proposed fellowship program will be sponsored by the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, with initial accreditation expected in Spring 2021. The Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship will be the first ACGME-accredited fellowship program for the Nashville Region of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. This physician will be fellowship trained in Cardiology, possess a strong work ethic, be a team player, and serve as an ambassador for Saint Thomas Heart and the Cardiovascular Service Line. Our heart center includes over 70 physicians serving a large regional referral network. The ideal candidate will have administrative experience and at least three years of participation as an active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited cardiovascular disease fellowship. This position will split its time between 30% fellowship director duties and 70% patient care. The selected candidate will be awarded a faculty rank consistent with his/her level of experience.

Saint Thomas West Hospital is a high-volume tertiary referral center for comprehensive heart care in Nashville, Tennessee. Our heart center is a regional/national reference center for cardiac valve surgery, transcatheter structural/valvular interventions, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, atrial fibrillation, aortic surgery, cardiac transplantation, LVAD, ECMO, and complex coronary bypass procedures. The cardiology program includes eight catheterization laboratories, four modern EP laboratories, vascular suites, and two hybrid ORs. In addition to the thousands of innovative procedures performed annually, there are multiple ongoing clinical trials and opportunities for continued research development through the Saint Thomas Research Institute.
