The University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate (UMMS-Baystate) and Baystate Health seek a Gastroenterologist in western Massachusetts. The cornerstone of our organization is Baystate Medical Center, a 716-bed tertiary care hospital which boasts the state’s single busiest emergency department and the region’s only Level-I trauma center. Baystate Medical Center in Springfield MA is seeking a BC/BE gastroenterologist to join our Division Gastroenterology. Clinical focus of this position is general Gastroenterology.

Position Highlights –

• Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with our well-established team of 9 faculty gastroenterologists and 4 advanced practice providers. Our division focuses on direct clinical care and clinical education with a strong academic footprint.
• Excellence in clinical care and medical education. Faculty appointment to UMass Medical School-Baystate and opportunity to teach our gastroenterology fellows, residents and medical students.
• Opportunity to participate in clinical research, health-services research and quality outcomes research. Interest in mentoring residents with research projects is desirable.
• We are seeking a generalist at this time. Excellent mentorship available to new graduates.
