The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital is seeking an outstanding Pediatric Surgeon for our rapidly growing Children’s Heart Institute located in Houston, Texas.
In this dynamic position, the physician will play a key role in the further development of the Children’s Heart Institute and will be part of an independent and state-of-the art Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital which is integrated to the Memorial Hermann System and McGovern Medical School of Medicine. The faculty member will have the opportunity to work with cardiologist and cardiovascular surgeons in a highly interactive and collaborative environment.
This full-time position will provide flexibility to accommodate both research and clinical interests for the applicant. Presently, there is a large congenital heart research program on site and there is potential to develop clinical and basic science research in this environment.
The successful candidate will possess a medical degree, have exemplary clinical skills, and demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence. Preference will be given to applicants with Pediatric Congenital Heart and Cardiovascular experience, those who have completed fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, and those who are board certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery specialty with a sub-specialty in Congenital Cardiac Surgery.
