Job Details

Providence Pathology is looking for a full-time Clinical Laboratory Medical Director with a board-certification in Clinical Pathology and at least 5 years of experience to join the Oregon Regional Core Laboratory, a CAP-accredited organization that provides a variety of routine and esoteric clinical labs throughout Oregon. This Medical Director is responsible for the technical and professional services provided by the laboratory, the overall operation and administration of the laboratory and for assuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Responsibilities include:
  • Directing the strategy and tactics necessary to grow the core laboratory and expand its use throughout Oregon
  • Ensuring testing systems provide quality laboratory services for pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic phases of testing
  • Updating clinicians across the region with respect to the latest technology and innovations in clinical diagnostics
