Associate Director of Neonatology for the Eastern Region

Northwell Health, New York

The Department of Pediatrics of Northwell Health and The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell seeks a mid-career or senior level Neonatologist to join the Division of Neonatology as the Associate Director, Neonatology, responsible for quality and safety in the Eastern Region of Northwell Health.

This position requires someone with strong clinical, operational, and leadership skills, as well as experience in neonatal care, quality, and safety to provide clinical care and lead the clinical expansion of neonatal services at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, NY. Additionally, the Associate Director will work closely with the Neonatal Service Line to provide quality and safety oversight for neonatal care provided at Huntington Hospital and Peconic Bay Medical Center. The Associate Director will also have the opportunity to attend in the Northwell Health teaching NICUs at Cohen Children’s Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital, if desired.

The successful candidate will have a MD or DO from an accredited medical school, completed Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship with Board Certification, and a minimum of five (5) years of progressive clinical and leadership experience. S/he must be licensed or be eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York. Academic appointment at The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is commensurate with experience. The compensation package is competitive and includes salary, fringe benefits, malpractice insurance, and CME time.
