The Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center is seeking a full-time anesthesiologist at the rank of Clinical Associate to join the Division of Ambulatory Anesthesiology. Ideal candidates will be BC/BE in Anesthesiology, have a commitment to clinical excellence and be prepared to work with field leaders in high paced, patient-centered outpatient anesthesia locations throughout the health system. Flexibility and strong communications skills are essential.
The Division of Ambulatory Anesthesiology is responsible for providing services to an expanding practice of ambulatory surgery centers, GI clinics and office-based locations. The Division covers a diverse array of procedures including orthopedics, general, plastics, ophthalmologic, urologic, gastrointestinal as well as other cases at Duke.
As a Clinical Associate, a candidate would be expected to advance the clinical mission of the department and from time to time help teach trainees. Academic and research productivity are not core job expectations. The Department of Anesthesiology offers a robust compensation plan that rewards clinical productivity and excellence.
