Join a growing ECT program at the state-of-the-art Providence Alaska Medical Center as a part-time Psychiatrist. This psychiatrist will perform ECT three half-days weekly, with the potential to expand to full time, three full treatment days weekly and one clinical day, as the service line continues to expand. The ECT Team at Providence provides treatment to outpatients and inpatients, from all parts of the state of Alaska. Enjoy access to system-wide support and work with a dedicated, collegial group in Anchorage, Alaska.

Responsibilities of the ECT psychiatrist include:

• Providing direct clinical care by administration of ECT treatments

• Pre-treatment consultation to assess for appropriateness for ECT

• Ongoing assessments throughout the duration of ECT

• Developing and establishing the plan of care

• Completing all necessary documentation and forms within the medical record during all phases of ECT treatment

• Assisting in tracking safety and quality metrics related to the ECT Program

With 401 beds, more than 1,100 nurses and more than 800 doctors, Providence Alaska Medical Center is the largest and most comprehensive hospital in the state and the only one with a dedicated Children's Hospital. A nationally recognized Level II trauma center, this hospital features heart and cancer centers, Alaska's largest emergency department with LifeMed Alaska air ambulance transport, full diagnostic, rehabilitation and surgical services, and inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse recovery services for adults and children.
