Cheshire Medical Center - Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene is seeking a Chief of Surgery to lead a team of multidisciplinary surgeons to further our mission to lead our community to optimal health and wellness through our clinical and service excellence, collaboration, and compassion for every patient, every time.

As leader of the Section, this physician's role will consist of administrative and clinical responsibilities in the candidate's surgical specialty. Candidates from all surgical specialties, including general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, and orthopaedics are encouraged to apply.

The primary responsibilities of this position is to provide oversight of all the surgical service lines on campus. The chair will demonstrate the highest degree of personal and professional conduct, enthusiasm, integrity and collaboration. The chair will provide overall leadership of surgical providers, ensuring the highest clinical and behavioral standards are met. The chair, in partnership with administrative leadership, will help develop and implement a strategic vision and direction that will lead to continued growth and quality.

Cheshire Medical Center is a Level three-trauma center with minimal trauma. The hospital serves as a regional referral center and is an integral partner in the growing Dartmouth-Hitchcock System. This is an excellent opportunity for a surgeon looking to practice in a collaborative setting.

Preferred:
Experience leading and managing surgical care teams and programs.

Qualifications:
  • Board-certified in practicing surgical specialty
  • Eligible for medical licensure in New Hampshire
