Wellbridge Addiction Treatment and Research, in partnership with Northwell Health, is seeking a Medical Director to provide overall leadership in the development and execution of all Wellbridge’s clinical activities to ensure that patients receive the highest level of clinical care.

Wellbridge is a new purpose-built facility designed specifically for the research and treatment of addiction. It integrates state-of-the-art clinical care, addiction research, and community education within a safe, supportive 96-acre campus in Calverton, Long Island. We are located 70 miles from NYC.

As a member of the senior management team, the Medical Director will participate in planning and decision making in the areas of marketing, business development, operations, customer experience, innovation, and research. The Medical Director is responsible for monitoring the performance of all physicians, allied health professionals, and clinical departments to assure that the highest standard of patient care is provided. This position will work closely with Northwell Health and the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell to develop and coordinate clinical and educational activities that support the mission of each entity.

Required Qualifications  

  • MD Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine.
  • Completion of Psychiatry Residency or Medicine Residency with Board Certification.
  • Currently licensed as a physician in the State of New York.
  • Board certified in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine.
  • Buprenorphine waiver

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Experience providing treatment for addiction in the inpatient, rehabilitation, and/or residential environment
