Practice Information
  • Intermountain Healthcare Transplant Services is seeking a full-time Transplant Nephrologist to support our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care, leadership, and innovation alongside our two full-time transplant nephrologists, and three advanced practice providers.
  • Although patient care is our primary focus, education and research are also encouraged and supported with access to dedicated research professionals including a statistician, research manager, research coordinators, and a medical writer.
  • Academic appointments and opportunities to educate are available through partnership with the University of Utah and Stanford Medical School.
  • Our practice is located in the heart of Salt Lake City, providing inpatient and outpatient support for Intermountain Medical Center.

Eligibility
  • Interested individual should be board-certified or able to be board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
  • The ideal candidate will have completed or will complete an American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) fellowship in Transplant Nephrology
  • Preference will be given to those with experience in clinical care at a kidney transplant program and have sufficient training to qualify as a UNOS primary physician of a kidney transplant program.
  • Additional preference will be given to those with previous experience or education in medical administration and those who have Clinical Research experience

Clinical Duties:
  • The position encompasses responsibilities in patient care, administration, program development, safety, quality and access for kidney and pancreas transplant services.
  • Work with Kidney Transplant Services Medical Director, Surgical Director, and Transplant Administrator to execute on yearly personal and program goals focused around the fundamentals of extraordinary care: safety, quality, patient experiences, access, and stewardship
  • Routine patient care will include: Outpatient clinic, supervision of advanced practice providers, periodic coverage of satellite clinics, and hospital service.
