Attending - Psychiatry - CATCH Addiction

In partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals, NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan provides care for over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with New York Medical College.

Implementation of CATCH is a critical component of the Mayoral Healing NYC initiative - in which the New York City Health + Hospitals will become a system of excellence, delivering increased and effective opioid services.

Addiction consultation services provided by CATCH teams are designed to address needs for addiction care expertise in service settings where traditionally it has been absent. There is a high number of patients being diagnosed with substance Use Disorder (SUD) across H+H (50K per year) and a very low number of these patients enrolling in addiction treatment (4K per year).

With an initial focus on inpatient services, CATCH teams enrolling in addiction services, CATCH teams will be a critical means for engaging patients identified with SUD, treating them, and providing a connection to ongoing care.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will collaborate with an integrative team of mental health clinicians to provide addiction treatment services - including:

- Inpatient Care
- Community Based Treatment
- SUD Specialty Care
- Buprenorphine in Primary Care
- Post Discharge Care

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

- Completion of accredited US based Residency / Fellowship Training Program
- Eligible for licensure in state if NY
- ABMS BE/BC

Preferred Qualifications:

• Board Eligible or Board Certification in Addiction Psychiatry
• Board Eligible or Board Certification in Addiction Medicine
