Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA, one of six acute-care hospitals comprising Tower Health, is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Sleep Medicine Neurologist with a PA Medical License for our comprehensive Sleep Center. The Sleep Medicine Neurologist will be joining and two Board-Certified Neurologists with subspecialty certification in a busy, multidisciplinary Sleep Clinic with two full-time Nurse Practitioners, Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, and Respiratory Therapists (RRT and CRT).

Reading Hospital Sleep Center has been Accredited through AASM and has comprehensive Sleep Center designation in collaboration with Neurology, Pulmonology, Psychology, ENT, and Oromaxillofacial surgery. We are involved in a metabolic and weight management program with systemwide referrals originating from primary care, specialty, and pediatric practices.
The pediatric Sleep Clinic benefits from collaboration with ENT doctors and St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

- CBT and Psychology for Insomnia
- ENT and Oromaxillo-Facial Surgery for Upper Airway- Related Interventions
- Inspire Therapy

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Sleep Medicine and will be very comfortable working in very busy, multidisciplinary Sleep Clinic. In addition to the 2 B oard Certified Neurologists, we are support by 2 full time NPs and Respiratory Therapists (RRT & CRT), Registered Polysomnographers (RPSGT) and several staff members hold the Certification in Clinical Sleep Health (CCSH).

We utilize all modalities of treatment for our patient population:
  • Diagnostic testing both In-Lab and Home Sleep testing (HST)
  • CPAP
  • BPAP
  • ASV
  • PAP Naps

Specialty services in collaboration that are Offered with other centers of Excellence for our patient population include:
  • St. Chris Care for our pediatric patients
  • ENT and Oromaxillo-facial surgery for upper airway related interventions
  • Inspire therapy
  • CBT and Psychology for Insomnia

Our sleep center hosts a sleep apnea support group meeting quarterly. We offer educational and group support to patients with sleep apnea and snoring problems, and those on treatment for sleep apnea. The sleep center patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric.

MD or DO; Candidates must be licensed/eligible to practice medicine in Pennsylvania and BE/BC in Neurology, Sleep Medicine Neurology.
