Drexel University and Tower Health have joined forces to add an additional location for the university's College of Medicine in West Reading, less than one mile from the Reading Hospital campus. This collaboration will bring undergraduate and graduate clinical education and research to a single campus. The new campus will be completed in time for the 2021-2022 academic year. When fully operational, the campus will train 200 medical school students. Most recently, Tower Health & Drexel University partnered to acquire St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia which adds the much-needed Pediatric acute care to the expanding health system. St. Christopher's provides care to more than 100,000 children annually. In addition, Tower Health, in cooperation with Drexel University, started a Cardiology Fellowship in the summer of 2020.

Job Summary

Tower Health, due to extensive growth and community need, is seeking a 3rd Noninvasive Cardiologist to join Cardiology Associates of Jennersville, a well-established Cardiology practice in Chester County, serving its patients and community for many years. The position encompasses a full scope of Cardiology responsibilities including inpatient rounding, reading Cardiology testing results and outpatient appointments. The Cardiology group utilizes the health system wide EPIC EMR and has an excellent support staff. The complete Cardiology team consists of 3 Cardiologist, 1 CRNP, 1 RN and Medical Assistants.

Jennersville Hospital

Located in West Grove, PA, and a member of Tower Health, Jennersville Hospital is a 63-bed facility that features all private rooms and serves the needs of patients and their families in Southern Chester County. Jennersville Hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services, including 24-hour emergency care, diagnostic care, orthopedics and surgical services.

Chester County is located in southeast Pennsylvania in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area. Chester County was created by William Penn in 1682 as one of the three original counties of Pennsylvania. There are now 67 counties in Pennsylvania. There are also six county parks (Hibernia, Nottingham, Warwick, Springton Manor, Black Rock Sanctuary, and Wolf's Hollow).

Eastern Chester County is home to many communities that comprise part of the Main Line western suburbs outside of Philadelphia, while part of its southernmost portion is considered suburban Wilmington, along with southwest Delaware County.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• MD or DO
• BC Internal Medicine
• BC/BE Cardiology
• Licensed/eligible to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.
• New graduates coming out of a Cardiology Fellowship are encouraged to apply.
