Assistant/Associate Professor In-Residence - Digital Technology and Education:

The UCONN Health, School of Medicine is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor In-Residence Digital Technology and Education. This is a 1.00 fte position.

Responsibilities for this position will include but not be limited to:

  • Leading a team to produce innovative online learning materials
  • Creating and maintaining an instructional web page and online materials related to innovative technology in healthcare
  • Guiding and supporting faculty in the development of effective teaching and assessment strategies
  • Integrating technology into existing coursework, including simulation and gamification
  • Providing instruction to faculty on authoring content through multimedia tools
  • Introducing and implementing emerging technologies in the medical environment
  • Scholarly interests to include augmented reality in medical applications; demonstrated capacity for scholarship
  • Strong expertise in cutting-edge technologies such as virtual reality gaming, mobile apps, wearable devices, etc.
  • Demonstrated teaching in higher education
  • Evidence of strong collaboration and communication skills

Additional Information: Departmental appointment to be determined based on applicant area of experience, expertise, and interest.

Qualifications: Terminal degree such as PhD, DO, or MD. Previous teaching experience preferred.
