Medical Director Radiation Oncology

Anne Arundel Medical Center’s (AAMC) Geaton and Joann DeCesaris Cancer Institute (DCI), is a progressive healthcare system located in picturesque Annapolis, Maryland. We are seeking a dynamic, progressive and committed physician leader for our section of radiation oncology within the DCI. The DCI is an American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACoS-CoC)-accredited Comprehensive Community Cancer Program, treating >2,000 new analytic cases each year.

Currently, our dedicated group of 3 board-certified, radiation oncologists provide outstanding, compassionate and high-quality care to our patients. We utilize 4 vaults with Varian technology support and a full spectrum of advanced cutting-edge treatment capabilities. Our comprehensive supportive cancer care services include well attended, disease-specific, patient-centered multidisciplinary tumor boards. These conferences are further supported by a specialized cancer care team, which includes very experienced social workers, nutritionists/dieticians, physical and occupational therapists, oncology rehabilitation, financial and genetics counseling, oncology nurse navigators and patient/family advocates. Additionally, the DCI participates in a large number of site-specific cancer clinical trials, including The Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology Research Group and our participation with The Johns Hopkins Clinical Research Network. 

There is an expectation that the incumbent will have a minimum clinical practice at a 70% effort in addition to the duties within the job description. As the Medical Director for the Section of Radiation Oncology, you will provide:
