Job Details

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology, and Comprehensive Cancer Center seek a full-time Associate Professor or Professor. The appointee will join an established group of nationally known medical oncologists and surgeons, hold the leadership role of Program Director, Thoracic Oncology, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of colleagues from thoracic surgery, pulmonary, radiation oncology, and pathology. We welcome applicants with robust laboratory, translational, and/or clinical research portfolios.

The appointee will have dedicated time for leadership and research efforts, as well as a mix of outpatient clinics and inpatient service. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students. Academic rank, tenure status, and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) have leadership experience managing a complex disease program.
