It is a particularly exciting time to join Health + Hospitals as we are starting a ground-breaking new coverage program called NYC Care which plans to connect hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers who are ineligible for health insurance to reliable care. New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio announced he will be bringing "universal health care" to America's biggest city through a program called NYC Care. The city will connect hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers who are ineligible for health insurance - including undocumented New Yorkers and those who cannot afford insurance - to reliable care. Anyone will be able to access comprehensive care across NYC Health + Hospitals' more than 70+ locations once the program is fully ramped up. NYC Care will provide a Primary Care doctor and access to specialty care, prescription drugs, mental health services, hospitalization and more. We have opportunities available at both hospital-based outpatient primary care clinics and smaller FQHC-based clinics.

Responsibilities:

The Primary Care Physician will report to the Medical Director and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Plans, coordinates, delivers and manages comprehensive healthcare services for individuals requiring primary care case management, including but not limited to those enrolled in the NYS Medicaid Managed Care Program; ensures patient/provider continuity and access to timely and appropriate levels of care.

• Coordinates and manages their assigned panel of patient care across various levels of service. Where required by the practice, responsible for the supervision of mid-level providers.
  
• Arrange patient session schedules that allow for both scheduled and non-emergent unscheduled (walk-in) visits by their primary care patients.
• Participate in all administrative functions required by physicians in the practice

Qualifications:

We are seeking NYS Licensed Physicians (MD, DO) for opportunities in NYC. trained in internal medicine, family medicine, for primary care opportunities in NYC.

Requirements:

•Degree from an accredited medical school.
•Be willing to obtain a license to practice medicine in New York State prior to practicing in our facilities.
•Current Board Certification or board eligibility for applicants completing residency.
