Job Details
The Medical University of South Carolina's (MUSC) Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Psychiatrist to work at the MUSC Institute of Psychiatry (IOP). This faculty member will be providing inpatient care as well as serving on the consultation liaison service at other MUSC hospitals in downtown Charleston, SC.
The IOP is a 100-bed inpatient facility which offers our patients access to the most promising and cutting-edge psychiatric intervention available and has been named Hospital of the Year by the National Alliance on Mental Health- South Carolina chapter multiple times.
About this role:
- Faculty position in the Division of Psychiatry Hospitalists
- BC/BE in Psychiatry
- Specialty trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry a plus
- Will be working alongside residents and fellows
- Opportunity for outpatient services at hospital-based clinics
- Opportunity for incentive compensation for personal psychiatric practice
- Opportunity to teach and do research at one of the top psychiatry programs in NIH funding in the nation
- Minimal Call
- Monday - Friday, normal working hours, with some weekend obligations
