A hospital in California is seeking a neurologist who is able to provide locum tenens coverage for approximately three months beginning in early August with a high chance of extension. On a typical day, the locum tenens physician can expect to see 4-8 inpatient and 5-8 outpatient for a variety of cases: Rounds on inpatient in mornings, outpatient during late morning/afternoon. All General Neuro disorders, seizures, strokes, dementia, EEG, EMG, vagus nerve stim, seeing MS is a plus. NO pain management procedures/patients. This opening has full-time hours where the provider will work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with 1-2 weekends of 24 hour call per month. This facility uses EMR similar to VA EMRs and will provide paid training. Huge plus if provider can see peds, MS patients and NCVs.
