A hospital in Pennsylvania is looking for a physician to provide locum tenens coverage for approximately seven days in late August, with a likely future extension. Typically, a provider can expect to see various cases: diagnosis, treatment and support of patients in need of critical care for life threatening disorders, coordination of patient care among the primary physician, critical care staff and other specialists, admit to inpatient or appropriate level of care, perform history and physical examination, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients presenting with organ dysfunction and in need of critical care for life threatening disorders. The provider may also have to perform central lines, arterial lines, bronchoscopy, and chest tubes. The provider will work 24 hour call. This facility uses Cerner EMR.
