Chair for the Department of Radiology

Tufts Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine, in Boston, MA, is seeking a new Chair for the Department of Radiology. The Chair will be responsible for leading all teaching and research activities within the Department, including medical students and graduate medical educational programs. The Chair will be charged with creating and implementing a strategic vision for the Department.

Interested physician candidates should have continued interest in growing a successful department, expanding Academic pursuits and excellent management and interpersonal skills to lead a Department in a top tier academic medical center. Interested physician candidates should have a track record of personal academic accomplishments, demonstrated successful administrative and leadership experience at an academic institution as the Department Chair, Division Chief or Section Head.

Candidate credentials to include:

• Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology and/or added qualifications and boards in a subspecialty area 
• Ability to meet the requirements for an academic appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level
• Keen understanding for developing and leading ACGME accredited residency programs
• Previous experience in healthcare quality, resource management, outcomes improvement, patient safety, and positive patient experience
• Political savvy, emotional intelligence, and the ability to interact within all levels of system level management
