The Department of Pediatrics invites applications for a faculty position within the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition

The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition advances the treatment of pediatric gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic and nutritional disorders through coordinated patient care, research, and educational activities.

Our team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and dietitians provide state-of-the-art diagnostic procedures and treatments for both common and rare diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas. We also offer comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for pediatric patients with acute and chronic liver disease and work in conjunction with Duke's liver and small bowel transplant program. The division collaborates on patient care with the Divisions of Pediatric Surgery, Transplant Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Otolaryngology, Pediatric Radiology, and Interventional Radiology. The division coordinates biliary and pancreatic interventional endoscopy (primarily ERCP and ultrasound) with the Department of Internal Medicine's Division of Gastroenterology.

Members of the division have participated in a broad range of clinical research activities that focus on Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, short-bowel syndrome, chronic liver disease, liver transplantation, inborn errors of metabolism, and functional GI disease.

The Research Triangle Park is a globally prominent hub for high-tech research and development.
