Senior Researcher in Retinal Disease
The Medicus Firm is proud to launch a national search for a senior researcher to occupy an Endowed Chair in Retinal Disease. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated a record of ongoing extramural research funding and scientific publications in retinitis pigmentosa or other retinal degenerations. Candidates should also demonstrate a strong record of teaching, service, and mentorship. The successful applicant should have experience to meet qualifications for appointment at the rank of associate or full professor with tenure.
In this exciting role, the successful applicant will receive research support to further develop their research portfolio and have the opportunity to form productive intra-departmental and interdepartmental collaborations with other faculty and contribute to broadening of the Ophthalmology Department's research vision.
Qualifications include:
MD (or its equivalent), Ph.D. or both.
Established track record of federal funding in retinal disease.
Recognized scholarly experience as evidenced by academic accomplishments, publications, service on national study sections, and service on editorial boards.
Clinicians must be licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana by hire date.
