Primary Care Physician

Western Connecticut Medical Group is seeking a Primary Care Physician for one of their Southern Fairfield County area Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Primary Care Practices.

We employee Behavioral Health Consultants who are embedded in our Primary Care practices to support our physicians in providing mental health care to our patients. WCMG Primary Care has also invested in a robust care management program utilizing care managers to ensure a smooth transition through the care continuum.

Job Summary:

Our Primary Care medical practice is looking for a compassionate Family Practice or Internal Medicine/Pediatric physician to provide comprehensive care in a team-based environment to our population of patients. This includes not only caring for acute and chronic conditions, but working with multidisciplinary support staff to promote the health and well-being of our entire panel of covered lives. This as a full-time, office-based position providing out-patient services only, utilizing a state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record fully integrated across all our hospitals and sites.

Job Requirements:

• MD or DO with CT State License, Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance Registration
• Have successfully completed a Family Medicine Residency or an Internal Medicine AND Pediatric Residency or Internal Medicine Residency
• Must be Board Certified or be Board Eligible.
• Off-hour coverage – Shared among multiple providers, phone-calls only with nurse triage.
• Full-time weekday 8-hour schedules between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday – Friday.
