Job Details
Island Hospital Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time, board-eligible/board-certified Child and Adolescent psychiatrist to work within Island Hospital in Anacortes, close to the San Juan Islands, Seattle and Victoria, BC. If you're passionate about medicine and searching for a vibrant coastal community with an abundance of outdoor recreational opportunities, this is the place for you.
Where You'll Work
Island Hospital, a Level III trauma center and Level II stroke center, places patients' emotional and medical needs first. A 43-bed facility, Island Hospital is staffed by 190 board-certified physicians and offers a range of services typically found in much larger facilities. Island Hospital has received multiple honors and awards, including being ranked number one in the state for lowest readmission rates and a four-star hospital rating by Medicare based on patients' survey responses.
Where You'll Live
Anacortes is a historic city on north Puget Sound easily accessible by driving across the Deception Pass Bridge or taking the Washington State ferry to and from Seattle. Due to fortunate coastal weather patterns, Anacortes receives only 21 inches of rain per year and is known for hiking, boating and the pods of orcas who live just offshore. With an active, tight-knit community and majestic views of the islands and snow-capped mountains beyond, Anacortes is a beautiful place to call home.
Who You'll Work For
Island Hospital, a 43-bed facility with five family care clinics, five specialty clinics and more than 750 employees, is the center for health and wellness in Anacortes, Washington, gateway to the San Juan Islands. The hospital's service area includes north Whidbey Island and the San Juans, a scattering of famous, sparsely populated islands rising from Puget Sound northwest of Seattle. Recognized as one of the most innovative small hospitals in the U.S., Island Hospital is an integral part of the great quality of life in this spectacularly scenic region.
