The Director has responsibility for overseeing our strategy and care delivery in the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Community Group Practices of Concord, Manchester, and Nashua. These responsibilities include integrating the clinical operations across these three practices and working with leadership to collaborate and coordinate with specialty-specific services lines between the northern and southern regions of D-HH's service area and facilitating relationships with other hospitals and providers in these communities. In addition, with operational partners within the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Facilities Department, lead our facility development and expansion efforts in the southern region.

The ideal candidate is a board certified MD or DO with a track record of notable education and training, and is eligible to apply for and receive a New Hampshire medical license and to apply for and receive an appointment as a faculty member of the Geisel School of Medicine.

Responsibilities:
  • Integrating and consolidating clinical and administrative operations of the three southern NH CGPs (Concord, Manchester, Nashua), and thereafter overseeing clinical and administrative operations to ensure high quality, efficient care delivery;
  • Collaborating with D-HH senior leadership to design, implement and operationalize service lines at D-H Community Group Practice locations, connecting and integrating D-H's northern and southern tier operations;
  • Assisting in negotiations regarding service line-specific PSAs and JOCs with non-D-H hospitals and providers in the three communities;
  • Serving as the primary physician lead in facility expansion projects within the three communities;
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 15 years of healthcare leadership is required including successful senior leadership experience with demonstrated results.
  • Must have a demonstrated track record of history of leading, managing and measuring change within a large, complex and/or decentralized health care delivery system.
  • Collaborative team player who is adept at building consensus in driving change.
  • Unquestioned professional and personal integrity, whose values align with the highest standards of D-HH.
  • An ability to inspire, build teams and drive change through a strategic vision and common purpose.
  • Experience in change management, including the skills and ability to inspire, but also to orchestrate change that is supportable and sustainable.
  • Strong influencing skills and the capacity not only to direct a team of Physician leaders, but also to influence collaboration and alignment of programs and objectives across D-H.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to forge collaborative relationships across broad constituencies.
  • At least 15 years of experience as a physician executive within a health system of similar size and scope including significant budgetary responsibility, operational accountability and oversight, as well as faculty/physician leadership.
  • Experience with impactful management in a large, complex health system and/or medical group.
  • Additional advanced training such as MBA or equivalent.
