MEDICAL DIRECTOR AND SECTION CHIEFNATIONALLY RECOGNIZEDLEVEL 1 TRAUMA CENTER

The Medicus Firm is proud to conduct a national search for a Medical Director and Section Chief for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. This full-time academic surgeon will lead the ongoing integration of trauma and acute care services throughout the growing network and help ensure delivery of clinical services that meet the needs of the community, as well as, achieve programmatic performance goals and objectives.

Major responsibilities include:

Working with the Health System leadership, faculty, ED physicians, and nursing, create a work environment that is collegial and collaborative where open communication creates an environment to provide the best care for patients.

Participate in strategic planning efforts to meet growth targets of the program including, but not limited to, facilities and equipment planning, staffing and resource utilization, marketing and outreach.

Working closely with hospital leadership on its ongoing initiatives to further its clinical networks and adding/enhancing services to its existing four campuses.

Partner with the Health System leadership, faculty, and nursing to create a culture of safety and a culture of professionalism with a focus on patient safety.
