The Department of Medicine's Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Virginia is seeking candidates for an Open Rank (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) clinical faculty position with a specialty focus in Lymphoma and CLL. Rank and track are dependent upon qualifications. Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, be Board-Certified in Internal Medicine, and be Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology by appointment start date. Expertise in the care of patients with hematologic diseases is required. Under the Division leadership of Dr. Michael E. Williams, Chief, and Dr. Karen Ballen, Associate Chief, the incumbent will develop independent clinical trial programs utilizing the translational research opportunities and resources available at the University. Additionally, the incumbent will attend on inpatient and outpatient services and participate in multidisciplinary team care and clinical research within the UVA Cancer Center. The NCI-designated Cancer Center has robust programs in Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapeutics, excellent clinical research support services, and outstanding translational science opportunities.
