The Division of Cardiology at Stony Brook University Hospital is recruiting full-time academic cardiologists for non-invasive imaging at the Assistant, Associate and Full Professor levels to practice in the largest hospital in Suffolk County, serving the eastern half of Long Island.
The successful applicant become an integral part of an established, growing, innovative and highly awarded faculty practice charged with delivering excellent patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing mentorship and teaching to cardiology fellows, medical residents and students while working within the context of an academic program to support (through clinical activity or leadership through scholarly activity) an active clinical/translational research program. Applicants should possess outstanding clinical, technical, and interpersonal skills, be board certified in Internal Medicine and BC/BE in Cardiovascular diseases and the National Board of Echocardiography and must be licensed in the state of New York by the time of appointment. Opportunities to read nuclear studies are also available if licensed. Broad (at least level II) training in echocardiography (including TTE, TEE, 3D and stress echo) and prior support of TVAR, LAA occlusion, structural mitral and intraoperative echocardiography are highly desirable along with previous experience in clinical, translational or basic research.
