Exceptional opportunity for a physician leader to join our growing, hospital based, Gastroenterology practice in beautiful Maine
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing medical expertise and leadership for the development, guidance, evaluation, and performance improvement of the multidisciplinary Gastroenterology program in accordance with established national guidelines.
- Assuring the delivery of comprehensive multidisciplinary Gastroenterology care through the coordination and provision of expert direct and/or indirect patient care.
The ideal candidate will have previous physician leadership experience along with excellent communication and supervisory skills. Time will be divided between clinical and administrative duties. Call frequency is protected at 1:6 and with ongoing recruitment with a goal of 1:8. Procedures and outpatient care are supported by an experienced nursing staff working in a modern endoscopy suite located on the main hospital campus. Hospitalists are available 24/7 for all GI admissions. Facilities support basic endoscopic procedures, ERCP, EUS, capsule endoscopy. Newly developed reflux and IBD centers of excellence provide avenues for research and growth. Practice design is flexible to accommodate practice members.
