Job Details

Sacred Heart Children's Hospital is seeking a board-certified pediatrician to continue the growth of care for patients with medically complex and palliative-care needs. Sacred Heart Children's Hospital provides comprehensive and coordinated care for children with complex medical needs in a consultative model, in collaboration with community and specialty providers. The lead physician will be responsible for strategic planning, operational leadership and the direction of care coordination services, as well as providing medical consultation to children with complex health care and end-of-life needs.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the care of children with medical complexity, symptom management and end of life care preferred
  • An adult palliative care physician with extensive pediatric experience will be considered
  • Position provides out-patient and in-patient consultations
  • Team consists of 3 pediatric RN coordinators, 1 pediatric social worker and 1 pediatric palliative/complex care physician

Providence Sacred Heart Children's Hospital, a member of the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI), includes more than 90 pediatric sub-specialists on the medical staff. Our 13-bed pediatric emergency department is the only dedicated children's emergency care and Level II pediatric trauma center in the inland Northwest region.
