A hospital based in California is looking for a hematologist/oncologist who can provide locum tenens coverage for approximately three months beginning in early June with a high chance of extension. On a typical day, the provider can expect to see between thirteen and sixteen adult patients for a variety of cases: Broad spectrum evaluation & management of adult medical oncology and hematology patients; Bone marrow biopsies and aspirations; Chemotherapy & method of administration; Occasional inpatient consult if needed; solid tumor exp needed; 60% Hem/Onc and 40% solid tumor. The schedule will be Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the client is willing to offer a full-time position. This facility uses Cerner EMR and will provide paid training.
