JOB DUTIES:
Franciscan Alliance, Inc. (d/b/a Franciscan Physician Network) seeks a Medical Doctor at its facility located at 1630 Lafayette Road, Suite 200, Crawfordsville, IN 47933. S/he will render professional and competent medical health care services to patients. S/he will provide direct patient care on a full-time basis to meet the needs of patients, performing direct professional clinical services, plus additional reasonable time needed for performing administrative services and call coverage. S/he will prepare specific, accurate and timely medical records, using Franciscan Physician Network's (FPN) EMR technology. S/he will cooperate in FPN and Franciscan Alliance efforts to reduce variation from best practices and to enhance service, patient satisfaction, efficiency of care and efficiency of resource consumption. S/he will meet performance and quality criteria. S/he will adhere to and follow patient care protocols established by FPN and Franciscan Alliance. S/he will refer patients requiring medically necessary services to FPN physicians, FPN facilities and/or the Hospital, as appropriate. S/he will participate in the Practice Site and Hospital Emergency Room call rotation pursuant to FPN's standard policies and/or practices. S/he will coordinate medical care and maintain effective professional relationships with FPN physicians, as well as those on Hospital's Medical Staff. S/he will participate in regular Medical Staff activities of the Hospital as required to maintain active medical staff membership and as defined by FPN. S/he will assist FPN as requested in providing medical services in a fiscally efficient and effective manner. S/he will assist FPN as requested in recruiting and development of additional or replacement physicians. S/he will participate in regular FPN activities, such as Committees, All Physician Meetings, and Task Forces, which promote excellence in FPN performance and communication as defined by FPN. S/he will attend appropriate seminars and continuing education programs or complete other appropriate CME activities, as needed and within the parameters of FPN's CME policy as in effect from time to time, to maintain licensure/board certification and remain up-to-date in area of medicine. S/he must have ability to obtain unrestricted Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) permit and state Controlled Substance Registry (CSR) number. S/he cannot be excluded, debarred or sanctioned from a state or federal program. S/he must be willing to practice in accordance with the ethical and religious directives of Catholic health services.
REQUIREMENTS:
MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent. Employer will accept ECFMG equivalency to MD. Must have completed residency in Family Medicine from an accredited university. Also, must have a 1. Must be licensed to practice medicine in Indiana; and 2. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine specialty.
