Baystate Health, a Watson HealthTM Award–winning healthcare system and home of the University of Massachusetts Medical School–Baystate, is seeking a B/C or B/E Heart Failure physician to join Baystate Health’s flagship hospital Baystate Medical Center (BMC).

This opportunity features:

A HIGH-QUALITY PROGRAM. Watson Health has repeatedly named Baystate Medical Center one of the nation’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals.

HIGH-VOLUME. As the region’s tertiary referral center for evaluation and treatment of STEMI, Baystate supports high volume interventional and surgical programs that provide coronary revascularization and valve repair/replacement. In addition, Baystate provides the only comprehensive advanced heart disease/LVAD program in western Massachusetts.

ROBUST AND GROWING PROGRAM. The candidate will join a group of B/C advanced heart disease physicians in a rapidly growing inpatient and outpatient Advanced Heart Disease (AHD) program. This well established, multi-disciplinary program provides consultation, and longitudinal outpatient management of advanced heart disease patients. The consultative inpatient service manages CHF patients, as well as those with acute and durable mechanical support devices.

STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITIES. The Baystate Heart and Vascular Center which was opened in 2012, includes 6 surgical/endovascular suites (4 hybrid), and 128 private patient rooms designed to create efficient, comfortable care environments for cardiac patients.

FACULTY APPOINTMENT. Opportunity for clinical education and research with fellow, resident and medical student teaching; faculty appointment to the University Of Massachusetts School Of Medicine. The Advanced Heart Disease Program affords an opportunity for professional growth and program development while maintaining a pleasing work-life balance.

Located in Springfield, MA, Baystate Medical Center (BMC) is Baystate Health’s flagship hospital.
