Job Title: Chief, Gynecologic/Oncologic Physician

Location: Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA

Geisinger Health is seeking an outstanding physician and leader to assume the role of System Chief of Gynecology/Oncology, reporting directly to the Chair of the Women's and Children's Institute. With overall responsibility for operations, finances, and strategy within Gynecology/Oncology, the System Chief will lead and grow excellence in clinical, educational, and scholarly pursuits across Geisinger Health. There will be three direct reports to this position.

This position requires a dynamic, passionate, and capable physician who is ready to, or has already stepped into a leadership role. A record of success in recruitment, program development, and clinical leadership are key factors for the successful candidate.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

▪ 8-10 years of clinical experience coupled with some leadership or administrative experience in a healthcare delivery system.

▪ Superior clinical skills in gynecologic oncology, with recognition by peers as a talent in his or her respective discipline.

▪ Excellent interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills for both clinical and nonclinical audiences.

▪ Experience mentoring and developing others, including students, trainees and other physicians.

▪ Financial and business acumen, with appropriate knowledge of the complex financial pressures facing health systems today.

▪ M.D., D.O. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree with board certification in Gynecology/Oncology and eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania.

Geisinger's Women's Health Division is a growing team consisting of over 100 healthcare providers, including 4 Urogynecologists in the system.
