We are looking for a qualified Physician to join our team! At Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC), a Dartmouth-Hitchcock System Member, our focus is on providing patient-centered care and wellness in a clinical setting offering great opportunities for professional enrichment and leadership.

The incoming physician will primarily have a practice focusing on adult medicine, with a heavy concentration of Medicare patients. Training should be in Internal Medicine or Family Practice (recognizing the pediatrics component will be small). The physician will work 36 clinical hours per week and provide outpatient call coverage. The call coverage obligation is between one-week night every other week and 1:6 -1:8 weekends. The total patient panel for the practice is approximately 15,000 patients with room and demand to grow. The current patient volume is 15 per day, however the support system is in place for a physician to see more than the average.

Qualifications:
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Open to foreign born and educated candidates with US Residency or eligibility
  • Solid communication skills

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center is a critical access hospital in Windsor, Vermont founded in 1933 and a member of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health System, which provides our clinicians with the ability to better integrate seamless, local care for patients. Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center features 25 inpatient, medical-surgical beds and a renowned, 10-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. The Hospital has a therapeutic pool and physical therapy department as well as acute care, transitional care and hospice. In addition to a primary care base in multiple locations, specialty services include: dermatology, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, otolaryngology, pain management, pediatrics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, plastic surgery, podiatry, rheumatology, urology and others.
