EM Medical Director

TeamHealth has an opportunity for a physician to lead our emergency department team at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio. We are seeking a talented and strong communicator who is compelled to lead. A position to practice at the facility now and mentor with the current director, who will be retiring, will be considered. You will be responsible for assessing and implementing positive, patient-focused initiatives that are consistent with the vision of TeamHealth.

The ED treats 39,000 patients a year and is a designated Level III Trauma Center. Emergency Medicine board certified physicians are preferred, but Family and Internal Medicine boarded clinicians, with ED experience, will be considered. Physician coverage is up to 40 hours daily with 20-30 hours of daily advanced practice clinician assistance and 20 hours of daily scribe support. Providing care for more than 125 years, Blanchard Valley Hospital System (BVHS) is a 150-bed hospital and Level III Trauma Center providing a full range of care services. The facility is very active in the community it serves, providing classes, events, support groups and sponsoring many local fundraisers and events. In addition to its community focus, BVHS provides award-winning care to Findlay, Ohio, and the surrounding area. In 2018, the facility was named a Top Hospital by IBM Watson Health\u00ae for the sixth time. BVHS is one of the largest employers in the area with more than 3,000 associates and serves an eight-county area that includes Hancock, Allen, Putnam, Henry, Wood, Seneca, Wyandot and Hardin Counties.
