Renal Pathologist Westchester Medical Center seeks a full-time AP/CP or AP board certified Surgical Pathologist with subspecialty fellowship training in Renal Pathology.The candidate is expected to work closely with clinical providers in nephrology and transplantation to offer pathology direction for all related medical, technical and regulatory processes and to provide leadership for process improvement. WMC currently performs ~200 renal biopsy cases per year. The position also requires strong skills in general surgical pathology. The successful applicant will join a current team of pathologists and PhDs that provide pathology services including neuropathology, GI Pathology, GYN pathology, uropathology, pediatric pathology, hematopathology, hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, HLA, flow cytometry, molecular pathology, biochemical genetics and cytogenetics. The candidate will be actively involved in training of medical students, pathology residents, and other house staff in Renal Pathology. Scholarly activity is also expected. We seek an applicant with an interest in translational or clinical research in the broadly defined field of Renal Pathology who will build and maintain an excellent clinical service. Candidates must be board certified through the American Board of Pathology. Applicants must have an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or foreign equivalent degree and must possess or be eligible for an unrestricted medical license and appropriate Certificates of Qualification in New York State.
