Infectious Diseases Clinical Educator Track

UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI MILLER SCHOOL OF MEDICINE-DEPARTMENT OF MEDICINE­ DIVISION OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES - Has immediate openings available for Infectious Diseases Clinician Educator Track faculty at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. The clinician will provide inpatient infectious diseases consultation to adult patients on the Immunocompromised Host Service. These positions will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases in stem cell transplant candidates and recipients and hematologic malignancy patients. Duties will also include coverage of solid organ transplant candidates and recipients and participation in the education of Transplant and general Infectious Disease fellows. The faculty member will provide inpatient and outpatient clinical consultation services as well as participate in educational and research activities. The position includes some night/weekend/holiday on call coverage of the Transplant Infectious Diseases service.

The applicant should be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and board certified/eligible in Infectious Diseases, with additional training in Transplant Infectious Diseases. Spanish language proficiency is a plus. Licensure in Florida will be required.
