Job Details
Portland, OR - Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is seeking board certified/board eligible Psychiatry, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join its Addiction Medicine Services team, providing direct patient care as part of its inpatient consult service. This is a great opportunity to get involved with Providence's growing Integrated Behavioral Services in a not-for-profit, mission-driven organization. Experience all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer from the beautiful and welcoming city of Portland.
Where You'll Work
Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is Oregon's oldest (founded in 1875) and largest (523 beds) hospital. It also provides some of the state's most advanced services and is one of the most decorated facilities in the nation -- it has been named a Top 100 Hospital 10 times by Thomson Reuters. Conveniently located near Highway 26 in west Portland, Providence St. Vincent is home to the world-renowned Providence Heart and Vascular Institute, Providence Brain & Spine Institute and other "centers of excellence."
Where You'll Live
Portland has a metro population over two million, but maintains strong local neighborhoods and a close connection to nature. Consequently, the city consistently ranks high in national "livability" contests. The New York Times describes Portland as a "bastion of good living" and "one of our national capitals of cool." With easy access to mountains and beaches, coupled with a nationally recognized food culture, Portland is a large little city with an outsized and unique cultural footprint.
Who You'll Work For
Providence Health & Services (PH&S) is a not-for-profit system of 34 hospitals, more than 600 clinics and hundreds of locally driven programs across five western states: Alaska, California, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Providence is committed to improving the health of the communities it serves, with a special emphasis on its mission to serve the poor and vulnerable. PH&S is a partner organization of the Providence St. Joseph Health family and is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity organization.
