Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, is seeking a distinguished transplant surgeon to serve as Chief of the Division of Transplantation in the Department of Surgery. The successful candidate for this position may be considered for appointment at Harvard Medical School at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with experience and achievements.

The successful candidate will be board certified by the American Board of Surgery; must have a demonstrated track record of clinical excellence and scholarly activities, with achievements in the fields of transplant surgery, basic or clinical research. S/he must be experienced in administration, the supervision of residents and fellows, and the teaching of medical students. The candidate should have a history of external, peer-reviewed research funding, and should possess a vision for developing the division in a dynamic and competitive marketplace.
