Family Practice Physician
A correctional facility in Virginia is looking for a family practice physician who can provide locum tenens coverage for approximately five months starting in early July with a high chance of extension on a month to month basis. On a typical day, the provider can expect to see between twelve and twenty patients aged 18+ for a variety of cases: Locum must be comfortable giving PAPS for initial intakes and will be seeing primarily hypertension, diabetes. Client describes corrections as an interesting place to work because both acute and chronic cases. Provider must perform some suturing. The schedule will be either Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or locum can work four 10 hour shifts a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. This facility uses CORE EMR and will provide paid training.
