Training Program in Antimicrobial Resistance (Pitt TPAR). The Division of Infectious Diseases (ID) at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center has a post-doctoral position available for candidates interested in studying antimicrobial resistance of bacterial, fungal, or viral pathogens. Eligible candidates include ID physician fellows beginning their second year and recent PhD or PharmD graduates. Training opportunities include i) pathogenesis and molecular mechanisms of resistance, (ii) microbial genomics, (iii) the human microbiome, (iv) bioinformatics, (v) epidemiology and biostatistics, and (vi) infectious diseases modeling and simulation. The successful candidate will be supported for 2-3 years. The Pitt TPAR is an NIH-supported T32 training program; eligible candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
