Denver Health Medical Center, Denver, CO is recruiting for a full-time Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our collaborative and collegial team of 13 physicians and four advanced practice providers providing excellence in patient care, research, and educational programs. This is an integrated clinical program with University of Colorado Denver, with faculty academic rank commensurate with experience and qualifications. Requirements include fellowships and Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease and Electrophysiology; clinical training in device management and implantation, as well as, rhythm management and ablation procedures; watchman experience is a plus; interest in experimental, clinical, or health services research; commitment to medical education and training of fellows. The Division supports inpatient consultative and CCU services, electrophysiology services, coronary and peripheral interventional services, a 24/7 STEMI program, a full-service non-invasive laboratory, and outpatient general and specialty cardiology services. 

DHHA has been certified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level I Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. DHHA offers comprehensive medical, surgical, and psychiatric care, as well as emergency, ambulatory, and diagnostic services. With 525 licensed beds Denver Health Medical Center is one of the state’s busiest hospitals with more than 26,000 admissions annually. DHHA was recently recognized by the University Hospital Consortium as having one of the lowest observed to expected mortality rates in the country (Ranked #5 out of 121 academic health centers). As Colorado’s primary safety net institution, DHHA provides over 300 million dollars in uncompensated care every year. Our surgical and specialty teams are nationally renowned for teaching, research, and clinical services.  

The successful candidate will have completed a terminal medical degree (e.g. MD or DO) and have completed an electrophysiology fellowship. The selected candidate will have an academic appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Health Sciences at an academic rank commiserate with experience.
