Dartmouth-Hitchcock is searching for an experienced, dynamic Occupational Medicine Medical Director for our Lebanon, NH based Occupational and Environmental Medicine Clinic. As part of an expanding team of multidisciplinary occupational health professionals, this physician's role will consist of diverse responsibilities including direct clinical evaluation and care, quality improvement, and program oversight and development. Clinical work will be based at our academic medical center (Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center) where the case mix includes complex work injury and illness management, clinical toxicology, independent medical examinations, permanent impairment ratings, disability management, pre-placement evaluations and medical surveillance. Other responsibilities include supervising nurse practitioners in Occupational Medicine, assisting with the development and management of off-site locations, local employer-based satellite clinics, and education at the undergraduate, graduate and continuing medical education levels.

Our program has also been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance as a Level-3, Patient-Centered Specialty Practice. Requirements include Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Occupational Medicine and certification as a Medical Review Officer. Additionally, a minimum of 3 years' post-graduate clinical/programmatic experience at an occupational medicine clinic, including program development and oversight is preferred. Salary and academic appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth will be commensurate with experience and training.
