The world class cardiothoracic surgery program at Cleveland Clinic is seeking candidates for Director of Western Region Thoracic Surgery to join our established and highly respected practice. The Director will be responsible for managing and integrating thoracic surgery services across the Cleveland Clinic Health System.

The Cleveland Clinic Health System includes 11 regional hospitals and over 180 outpatient facilities in Northeastern Ohio. The following locations are all tertiary referral and teaching centers in close proximity to Cleveland Clinic Main Campus.

Our highly trained and skilled surgeons care for patients with benign and malignant diseases of the lungs, chest wall, pleural space, and mediastinum. The practice offers a full spectrum of endoscopic procedures of the lungs and esophagus, as well as dilation and stenting procedures. Minimally invasive surgical approaches are used in the treatment of both benign and malignant chest pathology. Minimally invasive excellence is critical for both lobectomy as well as the care of infectious disease and other thoracic diseases.

Requirements: Board Certified in American Board of Surgery as well as American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and a valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Ohio or are eligible for an Ohio medical license. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience will be with the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.

The successful candidate will have a joint appointment with Cleveland Clinic's Heart and Vascular Institute at the main campus. This position reports to the leadership at the Heart and Vascular Institute at the Main Campus. Moreover, our physicians enjoy full access to a distinguished team of caregivers, from medical oncology & radiation oncology, to radiology and an experienced OR staff, including advanced practice practitioners.
