St. Elizabeth Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a surgeon for our Heart Failure Program. The ideal candidate is Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery, is fellowship trained in Heart Failure and has extensive LVAD experience. The Heart Failure surgeon, in conjunction with Heart Failure specialists and the Cardiac Surgeons, will guide the establishment of the Surgical Heart Failure program at St. Elizabeth.

The St. Elizabeth Heart and Vascular Institute includes 21 cardiologists three electrophysiologists, three heart failure cardiologists, four cardiothoracic surgeons, and four vascular surgeons. The surgeon will work collaboratively with the medical heart failure team as well as perform adult cardiac surgical procedures.

We are a four-hospital, 1,000-bed community health system in a market of 400,000 people. St. Elizabeth is home to a Family Medicine Residency Program and recently announced a partnership with the University of Kentucky and Northern Kentucky University to open a medical school. Through our affiliation with the Mayo Clinic Care Network, collaboration with Mayo Clinic physicians for clinical, educational, and research purposes exists. Opportunities are also available for the surgeon to participate in our Clinical Research Institute.
