A clinic based in Alabama is seeking an internal medicine physician who can provide locum tenens coverage for one year with a high chance of extension. On a typical day, the provider can expect to see between five and fifteen patients aged 18+, all veterans for a variety of cases: Physicals, preventative health, specialty referrals, prescribing medications, ordering labs and x-rays, initial eligibility screenings, provider will also be responsible for coordination, evaluation, treatment, and overall medical management for eligible Veterans. The locum tenens physician will work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., all federal holidays off. This facility uses RPMS EMR and will provide training. Experience working at a VA or military experience is a big plus.
